Repulsive Image 2

If you think of a mud puddle or melted snow the image doesn't seem appealing. In this photo it actually looks attractive opposed to repulsive, because of the reflection in the puddle. I applied a gaussian blur and made the image warmer.

Repulsive Image 1

This photo is repulsive because, well... there's mold on the strawberries. However, even though there's mold, it looks attractive because of how soft looking it is and how it looks against the strawberries. I applied a gaussian blur and changed the blending mode to overlay to make the colors pop out.

Attractive Image 2

The different textures, colors, and contrast are really attractive in this photo especially when they're all put together. I applied a gaussian blur which really made the red pop out and contrast against the white.

Attractive Image 1

I think that this picture is attractive because of the bright colors and the background really contrasts with the blue which makes the colors pop out even more. I used a gaussian blur and i changed the blending mode to 'overlay' to boost the contrast.

Texture/Color Montage

For this montage, my goal was to show the winter colors and the different textures of snow found outside. The color blue is shown throughout my montage, and i think it really presents a calming mood especially with the sunset in the background. There are different textures on the window, fence, and the trees. I also have a picture of a windshield behind the sunset image to make the texture of snow. I think these images all come together and represent the texture and colors of winter very well.

Body Image Montage

For this montage, my main goal was to show the viewer the issues of body image. The background image was Amber covering up her face like she was embarrassed or something. Then, to the left there's a picture of a typical model looking right at her to draw your attention to her. At the right, there's two images of her looking in the mirror kind of trying to look at her body and criticize it. I think this montage really shows how the media has a set picture for everyone, and when people don't meet those standards, they feel not good enough.

Easy Blur

I just took this shot outside while my dog was looking around. The filter really softened up the picture and gives it a dreamy look. It worked really well for this shot.

Neon Glow

This is just a picture of a tire that i thought looked cool because of the textures and snow on top of it. I chose blue to exaggerate the snow and cool colors contrasting it. I think it really popped out the different contrasts in the picture and added color.

Filter the Background

I took this picture of my dog as she was sleeping on the carpet. This filter really makes your eye look at her paw, and notice all the details of her paw. I like how it makes the subject really stand out.

Blur/Overlay

I took this image just as the sun was setting so the background was filled with different shades of orange. I really like how this filter made the trees pop out, and it draws your eyes to the top of the trees right away.

Day to night

I took this picture of my friend's house, Ashley, which is Pine Terrace. I was inspired to take this picture because when i thought of night time, this house popped into my head because i thought it would look cool. I created a new background, but i made sure that trees were still incorporated into it. Then, i made the light bright but not too over powering. I also made the snow a few shades darker as well as the house.

iPod

For my iPod image, i chose to use a simple pose. I really like how Katie's stance is because she has space in between her legs, and there is a little bit of space by her arm. Also, i made it so her thumb is going over the iPod so it makes it look realistic. Then for the background, I chose blue simply because it's my favorite color.

Alphabet

I chose to use food as a common theme for my alphabet. For all of the letters, I used a plate as the background. I made sure that each letter was made with something different, and I tried to make the letters look interesting.

Space

I chose to do a montage with different snowboarding images. I chose this idea because it's something that i like to do. I made some snowboarders look close, while others were farther away. I also added drop shadows and different contrasts to the images to make it seem realistic.
